Privacy Officer, VOIDOSS — admin.voidoss@gmail.com
What is kept when you buy
- Your email address: to send your licence key and download link, and for Recover Purchase. It is stored together with a scrambled (keyed-hash) copy used to find your purchase.
- Payment references from Stripe (session and payment identifiers), the amount, the currency and the dates.
- Your licence key, only in scrambled form: it cannot be read back in clear from the database.
- For each computer where VOID OS is activated: a public key created by that computer and a label such as “VOID 1.0.152”. No computer name, hardware details or personal files.
What is not kept
- Payment card or payment details: they are handled by Stripe/Link and are not stored by VOIDOSS.
- This website uses no analytics, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies.
Network addresses
For protection against abuse (rate limits), IP addresses are kept only in scrambled form and deleted after 2 days. The website’s access logs do not record IP addresses.
VOID OS itself
VOID OS checks for updates by downloading a signed, public update list; no account or identifier is sent. Only when you install an update that needs your licence does EVOLVE contact VOIDOSS, with your activation credential.
Service providers
- Stripe/Link: payment and receipts.
- OVHcloud: servers. Information may be stored or processed outside Quebec.
How long
- Purchase and licence records: for as long as the licence relationship lasts, and as long as accounting and tax law requires (in Canada, generally 6 years after the end of the tax year a record relates to). They are then destroyed.
- Scrambled IP data: 2 days.
